So good and I like the variable speed control and scheduling
So far, so good! I like the variable speed pool pump control and scheduling function of this pump. It is also much quieter than my old pump. The last pump lasted 11 years (from the same manufacturer), see how long this one lasts.

I was a bit disappointed with the way the pump was packaged.There wasn't enough protecting material in the package and I had to send the first Pentair pool pump back because some plastic parts were broken. it's a shame, since the pump is great.

Good price Pumps
Great price compared to what patio pools was offering. It was installed about two weeks ago. No issues yet and the pump is very quite.

I was glad to see that The 2 speed switch
Item arrived very quick. I was glad to see that The two speed pool pump switch. Was already installed when I opened the box.

Nevertheless, I am not happy with the 60 day only warranty. I should have procured the 2 hp model. Nonetheless, when this pump/motor goes out after 60 days , I will already have the plumping ready. For the 2 hp model.

This Pentair pool pumps very easy install, all you need is a saw, two couplings and PVC cement. Original pipes matched perfectly.

Easy to install and very energy efficient
This pump, while being fairly heavy was packaged well for shipping. It arrived on time and undamaged. It was pretty easy to install and also hook up to my pool automation system. There was one glitch in the pentair pool pumps documentation that I had to search through some pool forums to find a fix for, but once I found the error it set up quickly and easily. I added an i Aqua link component to my pool automation system at the same time so can now manage the set up remotely. (This is great for me as it is installed in my winter vacation home). I found it very easy to program, setting multiple programs and varying the speed to optimize pool circulation and energy cost. Since I've installed this pump my energy costs have reduced considerably. I seem to consistently use about 25% less energy than my previous pump so the savings have added up quickly.

Awesome pump
I've had this pump installed now for about three weeks. It is totally awesome I programmed it to turn on in the morning for several hours and in the evening as well. After programming my pool size (16K gallons) and the number of turns per day (1) the pump calculates how slow it can run during the times I gave it. That's about 35 gallons per minute for me and at that rate the pump is incredibly quiet -- you no longer have to listen to a noisy pool pump when you're sitting outside. And it's only using about 450 watts of power, no longer do I have to watch the dizzying spinning dials on my electric meter when my pool pump is on! I know it sounds strange but I'm actually looking forward to getting next month's electric bill! I believe this pump will easily pay for itself in under two years. And my local power company (SC Edison) will be mailing me a $200 rebate check for putting this in. I believe everyone with a pool should take a look at installing a super quiet energy efficient pump like this pentair pool pump.
